ABOUT US
The Haliburton Highlands Bass Club, created in 2012, is a small group of avid bass anglers who have a passion for fishing and conservation. Our purpose is to provide both new and experienced angler with affordable organized live release tournament Bass fishing while fostering the spirit of competition, friendship, learning and resource conservation. All HHBC tournaments have a limited number of participating boats, a typical tournament will have 10-14 boats. Our club is comprised of men & women of a wide range of ages and experience, we have father & sons, husbands & wives, and most of our members live or cottage within Haliburton County.
Each HHBC tournament is held as "Live Release", meaning that any fish caught throughout the day are released back into the same body of water. Our anglers take a great deal of pride in using the latest techniques and tools to keep fish in their best health. All boats utilize a live-well aeration system that provides oxygenated water to a small number of fish (max. 5) until they are released back into the lake.
Our club adheres to strict rules regarding fish & wildlife conservation, fishing regulations and a zero tolerance for alcohol consumption during tournaments.
We love to meet cottagers, lake residents and fellow anglers so if you see us out on the water please feel free to wave and ask us how the fishing is going!
