Welcome to the Haliburton Highlands Bass Club website. We are located in beautiful Central Ontario Canada
Background:
In 2011 a group of anglers with a desire to have some live release bass tournaments on our local lakes came together and decided to form a club.
In 2012 the Haliburton Highlands Bass Club became a reality. Our purpose is to provide both new and experienced anglers with affordable organized live release tournament Bass Fishing while fostering the spirit of competition, friendship, learning and resource conservation.
The club uses a water weigh in system with a two part weigh in bag that minimizes handling and stress to ensure the health of our fish is maximized.
In 2016 the club implemented a limit on the number of members to ensure that our events do not become too large for our lakes. All events have a 20 boat limit, with most now averaging 14-16 entries. This provides great friendly competition, a speedy weigh in and release of the fish, but does not negatively impact those who also enjoy the waters we fish.
